END OF SUMMER

There's a hollow sadness that seems to cradle the end of summer. The long days are waning, the yawning sun is casting shadows that slowly stretch across the weary burn of empty fields, reaching towards a promise of cooler regions.....

    1. I never saw dandelions in Texas, but there are a lot of them here in TN. They remind me of my childhood.

  4. A beautiful selection of scenes. Sure looking forward to autumn but summer nights have a magic that doesn't leave with the rest of the season.

    1. The area in Texas where I lived was always so dry and dusty that very few things grew. There probably were dandelions there, but they didn't have much opportunity to multiply.
