FALLEN ANGELS

Banished from the lofty realms
of the righteous
they tumble beyond
a cradle of clouds
in swift descent
to the open arms of mortal desire
and the sweet embrace of Sodom.

  1. Beautiful post and poem. I've been told I have angel wings......with a set of accompanying horns and pointed tail.

    1. I can fully relate to that. I look angelic but have the soul of Satan.

  2. Beautiful poem, Jon, and photos --but I always imagine angels, even fallen ones, smiling more and laughing like music.

    1. Tarnished angels seldom smile, Geo. I'm speaking from experience.

  3. I just realized, I'm older than dirt.
My first impression? -- 'Why, they're just boys!' ... ya, that's pathetic.
Nevertheless, I suspect you've found Peter Pan's lost lads.

    1. Myra, I tried to find guys who look angelic, but it's much more difficult than you would imagine.

    2. Yikes, and sorry!
I meant I'M being pathetic ... not your pictures!

    3. No need to apologize, Myra - I knew what you meant.
The only thing that bothers me is the fact that I'm old enough to be their father......

  4. Some are absolute angels, while others are giving me Jailbait Angel.

    1. They're all supposed to be legit "models" of legal age, but heck - - who knows for sure? They're from heaven.......

  5. Every one of these boys shines with beauty, but it's overlaid with a tinge of sadness, too. They're soooooo young. Looking at them makes me a little teary-eyed, kinda like looking at pictures of very young girl beauty contestants, who should still be shining with childish innocence, but are fouled with a face full of make-up, and dressed like a "sexy" adult.

  6. There's something about the whole concept of modeling that I've never liked. It's the exploitation of a fantasy.
I thought the tarnished angel approach is very apt.

  8. I like the first guy, too - - his wings seem to be somewhat of an afterthought....
